The Journey So Far

At Sterling Rice Group, I develop predictive models that help clients navigate evolving market landscapes. My work blends statistical rigor with business relevance—translating complex datasets into actionable insights for strategic planning, pricing optimization, and demand forecasting.

I frequently use Monte Carlo simulations and machine learning techniques to model uncertainty and guide decision-making under ambiguity. Beyond modeling, I also help design, build, and maintain the firm's internal and client-facing dashboards—primarily in Power BI—ensuring teams have access to clear, real-time analytics that drive informed action.

Key focus: Delivering predictive systems and decision-support tools that are technically sound, visually intuitive, and aligned with business needs.

I supported Microsoft's financial services clients by developing internal tools and frameworks to guide their migration from on-premise HPC systems to cloud-based infrastructure. My work focused on comparing Azure HPC Pack and Azure Batch, helping internal teams assess performance, cost, and migration complexity.

The scale of this project—spanning institutions managing over $1B in assets—required deep consideration of data security, compliance, and system reliability. It strengthened my ability to work with high-stakes datasets and gave me hands-on experience designing solutions where precision and trust were non-negotiable.

Designed and built an internal dashboard to help leadership better assess the performance of Agile teams—not just by the number of projects completed, but by the quality and production success of those projects.

By shifting focus from output volume to outcomes, the tool offered a clearer, more strategic view of execution effectiveness across managers and departments. This experience sharpened my understanding of operational metrics and how thoughtful tooling can improve decision-making across large organizations.

Serving on the junior board at Headstart Fellowship, where I mentor underrepresented students entering tech. My approach centers on meeting mentees where they are—whether navigating their first internship search or refining long-term goals. I focus on encouragement, strategic industry prep, and helping students position themselves with confidence throughout the tech pipeline.

Led initiatives for a $250,000 student-managed investment fund. Beyond managing valuations and market strategy, I focused on making finance more approachable to new members—hosting workshops, streamlining research processes, and connecting investment theory to real-world trends. Beyond returns, the goal was to help students think critically about investment strategy, economic trends, and portfolio construction.

Provided 1:1 academic support to students across STEM courses, with a special emphasis on neurodivergent learners. My role was less about having all the answers, and more about co-creating structure, building study habits, and helping students find learning strategies that worked for them—not just what was "standard." I learned just as much from listening as I did from tutoring.
